DURLON 9000/9000N
ASTM F104:F452111-A9B5E11K6M6

PTFE gasket material

Use:

DURLONR 9000/9000N is widely used in industries such as chemicals, pulp and paper, food and beverages, and rail tankers. This gasket material, tested and tested, has been approved for use in the pharmaceutical industry for liquid chlorine, caustic soda, liquid oxygen, and high purity applications. 9000N is approved for the manufacture of food components. DURLONR 9000/9000N is designed for applications that require strong chemical resistance. White gasket material that does not contain pigment, as in model 9000N, can be supplied. 9000 and 9000N two styles (including marking the style) are in line with the requirements of FDA.

DURLONR 9000 was approved for use by the chlorine society's test protocol, which is listed as a qualified gasket material for drying chlorine (liquid and gaseous), as seen in the pamphlet published by the chlorine society, No.95, third edition. In addition, DURLONR 9000 has been tested by several major chemical and chlorine manufacturers, and has been approved for use in caustic soda manufacturing equipment. Unlike conventional glass fiber filled PTFE gasket materials, the filler shape in DURLONR 9000 does not allow wick effects to cause flange corrosion.

DURLONR 9000/9000N, independently tested and certified (BAM), has been approved for use in liquid media such as liquid oxygen at pressures no higher than 585 psi (40 bar) and temperatures not higher than 392oF (200oC). Gaskets for oxygen can be supplied from the distributor's inventory, but proper cleaning procedures must be followed prior to installing such gaskets.

Component:

In order to give DURLONR 9000 its proper physical and mechanical properties, inorganic fillers of various shapes are uniformly blended in the pure PTFE resin. This gasket material is suitable for use in steel flanges. It does not show any cold flow problems associated with pure PTFE and will not cause any degree of hardness of other PTFE gasket materials. This material is easy to cut and can be easily removed from the flange after use.

Note: the performance of the ASTM standard is measured according to the plate thickness 1/16 inches, but the ASTM F38 is measured according to the plate thickness 1/32 inches. These properties can only be used as a general reference and cannot be used as the basis for acceptance or rejection. The data shown in this table shall not be valid in the normal range of product performance and shall not be used in accordance with these data, technical regulations, or the use of these data independently as a basis for design.
